Q. The MNCP™ has celebrated more than 30 years of Pageants with the first MNCP™ held in 1972. Where was it held? and who won?
A. The East Haven Sun Club was the host in 1972, Greta Garbo from Montreal was the very first Miss Nude Canada™ The Pageant was held outdoors, and Naturist Clubs didn't permit photography.

Q. What was the response? Were Canadian Clubs receptive to the Pageant?
A. Nudity was not allowed in any licensed establishment at that time so there could be no response from Canadian Clubs. In the early years the contests were always held in Sun Clubs.

Q. So when did you start holding the MNCP™ at Nightclubs?
A. In 1984 the pageant was allowed to "come indoors" and the modern Miss Nude Canada Pageant™ was born. This historical first was hosted by the old Coronet Hotel in Kitchener, Ontario. Tammy Lee, from Windsor, Ontario was the winner of the first week-long indoor event.

Q. How did the idea of the MNCP™ come about?
A. In 1972 Dick Droust, the owner of NAKED CITY the world's largest Nudist Colony, and owner of the Miss Nude World Contest™, wanted a girl to represent Canada.

Q. The MNCP™ was written up in "Hustler" magazine - what do the Americans think of the Pageant, and do they have their own?
A. "Hustler" magazine is just one of the international magazines to write about The Miss Nude Canada Pageant™ "Hustler" bestowed the moniker "Mother of All Pageants" on us, remarking that nothing outside of Las Vegas could match the beauty, the extravagance, the excitement, the costumes, and the overall professionalism of The Miss Nude Canada Pageant™ "Cheri" magazine has covered us since 1984, and "Club" magazine was allowed to cover the pageant after our 17-year exclusive agreement with "Cheri" finally came to an end. "Blonde" magazine in Japan has covered the pageant since 1998 and of course all of the trade magazines around the world have covered the pageant for years.

Q. Do any other countries have a National Miss Nude Pageant?
A. Miss Nude Australia™, is a direct spin-off of The Miss Nude Canada Pageant™ and the Canadian Winner of the Business Man's Favorite™ title wins a four week working holiday in Australia. Since the success of The Miss Nude Canada Pageant™ more and more nations are holding their own National competitions.

Q. What about negative publicity from feminist groups, police, politicians, etc.. has that been a problem?
A. Even though every other type of Pageant has drawn the attention of the above groups, The Miss Nude Canada Pageant™ has never had a hint of scandal. We have been scrutinized and investigated with an eye towards a exposé but all of the investigators have been converted and won over to admiration of just what the pageant does and is all about.

Q. What exactly is a Feature Dancer?
A. A Feature Dancer is any dancer who makes the investment in herself and her career to become a headliner act. Even though The Miss Nude Canada Pageant™ attracts the very best Feature Dancers, and in turn has passed the finest Feature Dancers in the world through its events, The Miss Nude Canada Pageant™ IS NOT a Feature Dancer competition. We welcome women from all walks of life and all levels of dance. We create a "level playing field" that eliminates all of the perceived advantages that a Feature Dancer would enjoy in a competition.

Q. What benefit does winning a title in the MNCP™ confer on a Contestant?
A. The first benefit that the MNCP™ confers on the Winner of the Contest is the right to use the most respected title of its kind in the world for the rest of her life. The Winner also gains immense self-confidence from having proved herself in fair and honest competition against her peer group from across the nation, some of the finest women in the country. If the Winner desires she can use the title to open doors around the world for her very gainful employment. She will also become amongst the highest-paid Exotic Dancers in the country. The list of benefits just goes on and on depending on who the winner is and what she wants to do with the title. For example, in 1986 Linda Love won the contest, she never danced again, subsequently the tall blonde beauty became a "Paris Vogue" Fashion Model.

Q. The National Finals determine the MNCP™ winner for the year but what preliminary pageants are held?
A. Preliminary Pageants are held from coast to coast hosted by both the Miss Nude Canada Pageant™ organization and other pageant organizations. For example, Miss Nude Toronto™, Miss Nude Ontario™, Miss Nude Eastern Canada™ etc.

Q. What is the criteria for winning a MNCP™ title? and who judges the Pageant?
A. Please refer to the For Contestants section for a full explanation of what the Pageant is looking for. The judges come from all walks of life other than the exotic dance industry because we don't want any conflict of interest. The judging rules and requirements are in the For Judges section.

Q. Exotic Dance is regulated by what official group?
A. The regulatory bodies for Exotic Dance varies from Province to Province, mostly because the activities take place in Liquor Licensed establishments. To put it in the most simple and general terms, a contestant in a Miss Nude Canada Pageant™ can do anything that a Feature Dancer is legally allowed to do in the host club the rest of the year. The Liquor Regulatory Bodies have the most to say about what happens in the clubs, the local municipalities have the say about public morals and nudity and license the dancers and the clubs, and of course the Supreme Court of Canada has had the final say about many things in the Industry.

Q. In the past 30-years-plus have you seen substantial changes in the Clubs? what the patrons want, and what the law allows?
A. Of course I have watched the laws and public ideas change drastically over the past 30 years. To list all of the changes would require a book.

Q. What are the Pageant's future plans? Will there be a Golden Jubilee in 2022?
A. I have many dreams and future plans for the Pageant; see how it has changed and evolved over the past 30 years, you will be amazed at what my dreams for the Pageant are. As for 2022, I will be 75 years old by then, if I am still alive there will definitely be a Gala Golden Jubilee Year.

Q. You speak with a slight accent, Chris, what's your background?
A. I was born in England so that is the basis of my accent, and came to Canada when I was 9 years of age. Since then I have traveled to many exotic places and have picked up little pieces of an accent from all these different spots.
